All 78 Tarot Cards
A standard tarot deck holds 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana cards (numbered 0 through 21, representing big-picture life themes and turning points) and 56 Minor Arcana cards, split into four suits of 14 — Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles — each covering a different domain of everyday life. Every card below links to its own full meaning page, with dedicated love, career, reversed, and yes-or-no readings alongside the main upright/reversed meaning and real astrological associations. New cards are published regularly as ArcanaWell's library grows toward the complete 78.

How Each Card Page Is Built
Every published card on this site follows the same structure on purpose, so once you know how to read one card page you can navigate the other 77 without relearning the layout. Each page opens with the card's genuine Rider-Waite-Smith artwork description and its real associations — arcana, suit, number or court rank, ruling element, planet or zodiac sign, and numerology — before moving into upright and reversed meanings, then dedicated summaries for love, career, money, health, and spiritual reflection, and finally a yes-or-no leaning with the reasoning behind it. Four of those sections — love, career, reversed, and yes-or-no — link out to their own longer, standalone context page, since a single card's love meaning alone often carries more real nuance (single versus partnered, timing, common traps to watch for) than a hub page has room to cover without crowding out everything else on it.
Major Arcana vs. Minor Arcana
The 22 Major Arcana cards, numbered 0 (The Fool) through 21 (The World), describe big, life-defining themes and genuine turning points — the kind of thing that reshapes someone's whole trajectory rather than one afternoon of it. The 56 Minor Arcana cards, split across four suits of 14, describe the specific, situational texture of everyday life instead: one particular conversation, one particular financial decision, one particular stretch of a project. A reading heavy with Major Arcana cards tends to signal that something genuinely significant is at stake; a reading made up mostly of Minor Arcana cards more often describes ordinary, everyday circumstance rather than a defining life event.
The Four Suits, Briefly
Wands govern fire — ambition, creativity, and forward motion, tracing an arc from a single spark of an idea through to the burnout of carrying too much. Cups govern water — emotion, intuition, and relationships, moving from one overflowing first feeling through grief and difficult choice toward shared, generational contentment. Swords govern air — thought, conflict, and communication, and carry the deck's most genuinely difficult stretch (the Eight and Nine) before resolving into a clean, if painful, ending. Pentacles govern earth — money, work, health, and the physical body, tracing patient, cumulative effort from a single planted opportunity through to lasting security. Each suit's own hub page goes considerably deeper into its numbered structure, its four court cards, and how to read several of its cards together within a single spread.
Court Cards, and Where to Start
Each suit also carries four court cards — Page, Knight, Queen, and King — which are read either as a stage of mastery within that suit's own territory, or, especially in relationship and workplace readings, as an actual person in the querent's life whose temperament matches the card. If you're opening a card page for the first time with no real background yet, our Learn hub's beginner guide walks through shuffling, drawing, and reading your very first card step by step, and is worth reading before working through all 78 individual meanings at once.
Once you're comfortable with individual cards, our Spreads library shows how several cards read together in a fixed layout, and every card page here links out to related cards worth comparing — a neighboring number in the same suit, or a Major Arcana card that shares a similar theme — so you can follow a thread across the deck rather than reading each of the 78 pages in total isolation from one another.
