About ArcanaWell

ArcanaWell is a tarot library built around one rule: every card, spread, and guide should be genuinely researched and specifically written — real astrological correspondences drawn from the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn tradition, real numerology, and prose that's actually about the card in question rather than a reusable sentence with the name swapped in. We built the site this way deliberately, after watching too many tarot sites ship the same handful of sentences across dozens of cards with only the noun changed.

We also try to be honest about what tarot is and isn't. There's no mechanism by which shuffling a deck of cards can access verified information about the future — see our blog post on what tarot can and can't actually do for the full case. What tarot reliably offers is a structured way to reflect on a question from a few different angles, using traditional card meanings as a lens. Every page on this site frames its content that way: reflection and entertainment, never medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice. See our full disclaimer for the exact framing.

The card artwork referenced across the site draws on the 1909 Pamela Colman Smith Rider-Waite-Smith deck, which is in the public domain — see our methodology page for the full sourcing note.

The 78-card library, spread guides, and Learn hub are being published in stages rather than all at once, since every entry is individually researched and hand-written rather than templated — see our progress note on the cards index for exactly how much of the deck is live right now. We'd rather ship a smaller number of genuinely well-researched pages than rush the full 78 out with thin, interchangeable content.

If you spot an inaccuracy — a misattributed planet or zodiac sign, a numerology detail that doesn't match the Golden Dawn source material we cite, or simply a broken link — we want to know about it and correct it. Genuine corrections are the one kind of feedback we prioritize fastest; see our contact page for how to reach us directly.
